Found back my old blog on WayBackMachine.
There I was still developing Mixing Cities…
Also blog posts from Eye of the Spy, which just recently got a sort of “version 2” as Videobot. And can now be seen in the WORM foyer, generally when there are events or when the Wunderbar is open.
A friend pointed me to Google Streetview where a microphone set of my installation Mixing Cities is recorded by Google’s cameras some years ago..
Go here to see it in Streetview.
Last week I installed Mixing Cities in Centrum Kultury ZAMEK (see photo).
If you come close to Poznan [3 hours from Berlin..] in the next weeks, come by! There are two exhibitions in five places, containing great work! The Mediations Biennale runs until the 30th of October.
Today the last set, “stream1”, was sticked to the building of Maakhaven, a place at the Calandkade in The Hague, with several ateliers for artists in all genres.
With a great audio sight!
From September 11th till October 30st Mixing Cities will be part of the exhibition “Beyond Mediations” curated by Ryszard W. Kluszczyński within the Mediations Biennale 2010 in Poznań, Poland.
If you are anywhere near, please come and visit!
Last night I made a flyer to present Mixing Mities.
After the weekend they will be printed and folded.
Take a look here! (pdf)
Yesterday “stream3” Rotterdam was placed, listening to the sounds of the Dordtselaan, a busy street in the south of Rotterdam.
Streaming set “Stream4” in Eindhoven has it’s microphones and light senor placed on the roof of a friends house. A location in a residential area of this city, whit lots of voices, dogs and a mosque.
Today we recovered the streaming set “stream2” in Enschede.
This set was still on the roof since Februari 2009, and looked pretty much eaten. Replaced the mics, that luckily worked again a day later, with the ones I just got from set in The Hague. The picture in the middle shows the view at the industrial area from the roof of the data centre Atricom, where the mics are placed. On the right the recovered set.
Box 1 of 2 ready to be loaded and transported to Poznan, Poland for the Mediations Biennale. There it will be shown from September 11th – October 30st.
