This photo is presumably the only preserved documentation of three-dimensional work I made when I was between (roughly) five and eight years of age.
Who knows inspired by Arte Povora. Materials used: bath tub, water, playmobil puppets. Found materials used: rusted metal, wood, bed springs, clothespin spring, metal pin and some more things I would find in the streets around my home.
Old technology just keeps coming back :)

Web tool from the future: HOTGLUE. Basically you can make websites in a very intuitive way.
If you don’t want to have your HOTGLUE-website on WORM’s server you can install it on your own web server. The software is open source.
I also took an account: http://bart.hotglue.me
By the way, an account is free, and you don’t need the software unless you want to run it on your own server.
The Dutch government decided to take a major cut out of the budget of the arts the coming years. Most likely my work will also be affected by these decisions. To emphasize this I joined the exhibition Solidarid’art in ‘De Korenbeurs’ in Schiedam. This exhibition is meant as a protest against these art cuts. Here I will present my last (unfinished) work -UNFINISHED-.
Some photos here.
opening: November 20th, 16 hrs, Solidarid’art, Kunstcentrum Korenbeurs, Lange Haven 145, Schiedam
exhibition: November 20th – December 19th, Solidarid’art, Kunstcentrum Korenbeurs, Lange Haven 145, Schiedam

On October 9th and 10th I presented Ralays Sounds 0.2 in my studio as part of the “Kunstroute Kralingen Crooswijk”. The local TV station Cineac Crooswijk interviewed me here (in Dutch).

This weekend I present a new work in development, a draft. This will be in my studio as part of the ‘Cultuur Route Kralingen Crooswijk.
Relay Sounds 0.2 is an experiment in which I use the sounds that relay switches make. These switches are used in electronics to switch a high-power device with low power. I use the sound the relay makes while switching, and amplify it with simple resonance boxes like drinking cups. By using many of these relay switches and the composition that stir these switches, a spacial sound experience is created.
I use this moment not only for my own experiment, but I’m also curious for your comments.
I welcome you!
Saturday and Sunday, October 9th and 10th, 12-17 hrs, Pootstraat 43, Rotterdam.
Relay Sounds is the title of my new work. Version 0.1 means that i’m experimenting right now. Five relays are used not to switch things, but to make sound. The switching of these mechanical relays make certain sounds that I can imagine combine well as an auditive work.
So Relays Sounds 0.1 is the first version. Next Saturday and Sunday (October 9th-10th, 12-17 hrs) i will present version 0.2 in our studio (Pootstraat 43, Rotterdam), as part of the atelier-route Kralingen krooswijk.
Last week I installed Mixing Cities in Centrum Kultury ZAMEK (see photo).
If you come close to Poznan [3 hours from Berlin..] in the next weeks, come by! There are two exhibitions in five places, containing great work! The Mediations Biennale runs until the 30th of October.
